CLE Financial Aid Policy
Should an attorney require a discount or waiver of the course fees listed for a particular CLE, they should mail a written request for a waiver to the DCBA office, P.O. Box 1837, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Please be sure to include the course you wish to take in the letter. All requests for waiver will receive a written response within 10 business days of the course date.
All requests will be evaluated based upon need. Relevance to an attorney’s practice area will NOT be considered when deciding to grant a financial aid request. All requests for financial aid from solo practitioners will be granted based on the following:
| Unemployed | Full Scholarship |
| Income up to $30,000 | 75% discount |
| Income $30,000 to $40,000 | 50% discount |
| Income above $40,000 | No discount |
Attorneys who are employed by a firm or in the public sector and wish to apply for a fee waiver should also include proof that their employer is not covering the cost of the course. All requests are kept confidential.
